            Support MARY'S House Domestic Violence Shelter
    In Memory of Hayden King, age 9, and Harper Edens, age 5

A memorial announcement was made on Saturday, August 5, 2017 that Motor Racing Outreach Association (MRO), drivers, and friends of Greenville-Pickens Speedway are sponsoring a room at MARY'S House in memory of five-year-old Harper Edens and nine-year-old Hayden King. The two Easley children died of gunshot wounds to the head in their car outside the Speedway the summer of 2017, as victims of domestic violence. Pickens County Sheriff Rick Clark and MARY'S house Director Kristina Smith spoke during the announcement at the Speedway. Greenville-Pickens Speedway Chaplain Dale Tyre gave an invocation, and driver Tasha Porter Kummer sang The National Anthem before the start of the race.
