The Christian View magazine, locally owned, operated, and printed in Pickens County, South Carolina, has reached readers across this state, in all 50 states across the United States, and in 173 countries around the world.

The Christian View magazine is owned by veteran award-winning journalist and former newspaper Editor Karen Brewer, who earned a Master of Arts degree in English Literature from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Journalism from Clemson University. She is a Pickens County native, born in Easley, who is descended from Pickens County's first settlers, Cornelius Keith and his family, who settled in what is now the Oolenoy area of Pickens County in 1743, as Keith traded one of his ponies for land from the Cherokee Chief Woolenoy. She also has family ties to Oconee County, as her maternal grandmother was born in Jocassee Valley and her grandmother's parents owned nearly 500 acres in Jocassee Valley before Lake Jocassee was formed. Although she did not know the Valley, she has fond childhood memories of spending time with her late maternal grandparents at their cabin on Lake Jocassee, as well as their Pickens home.

After being made available free, in print and online, for several years, The Christian View magazine began accepting online subscriptions and donations. Occasional special printed editions of The Christian View magazine will continue to be made available free of charge.
