                                Honoring their Service Ride

The opening ceremony for the Honoring Their Service Ride was held at the J.B. 'Red' Owens Recreation Complex in Easley on June 19, 2017. From there, combat veterans from the Marine Special Operations Command and members of the Wounded Warriors Regiment and their escorts, including the Marine Corps League, drove by Rock Springs Baptist Church and turned on Highway 123 and then through Main Street in downtown Easley, through Liberty, Norris, Central, Clemson, and Seneca to their destination at Keowee Key. The Christian View magazine was present for Clemson University's August 11, 2017 celebration of the 100th birthday of U.S. Army Colonel Ben Skardon, Class of 1938 and Professor Emeritus.
